The rules and guidelines for using Jobspesa.
These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Jobspesa, a platform connecting Kenyan users to online gigs — including chat support, surveys, translation, and data entry — paid via M-Pesa. By creating an account or using Jobspesa, you agree to these Terms.
By registering for or using Jobspesa, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the platform.
To use Jobspesa you must be at least 18 years old, reside in Kenya (or a supported region), and provide accurate registration information, including a valid phone number and M-Pesa details. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential.
New accounts undergo a verification period — typically up to 36 hours — before you're eligible to accept paid gigs. This process protects both users and the businesses posting gigs on Jobspesa. We may request additional information to complete verification.
Gigs listed on Jobspesa are posted by partner businesses. When you accept a gig, you agree to complete it honestly, professionally, and within any stated time window. Jobspesa is not a party to the underlying relationship between you and a partner business beyond facilitating the gig and payout.
Earnings from completed gigs are paid to the M-Pesa number registered on your account, once you reach the applicable minimum withdrawal amount. Payout timing may vary and is subject to account verification status and standard processing checks.
Jobspesa offers optional paid plans (Pro and Business) providing priority access to gigs and other benefits, described on our Subscription page. Subscriptions are billed periodically and can be cancelled at any time from your dashboard; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, provide false information, or engage in fraudulent or harmful activity. You may close your account at any time by contacting support.
Jobspesa is provided on an "as is" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Jobspesa is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform, including delays in gig availability or payout processing beyond our reasonable control.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of Jobspesa after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. Material changes will be communicated via the platform or email where practical.
